English Language UKS3, Year 2 (Live)

A series of ten webinars suitable for upper KS3 students aged around 12–14 years old, although they may suit slightly older or younger students depending on ability.

The autumn term is themed around planes, trains, automobiles, and other ways to travel. We'll be exploring a wide range of different text types including descriptive pieces, articles, interviews, letters, journal entries, speeches and news reports related to different modes of transport, journeying into the past and travelling into the future as well as examining topical issues around transport and sharing some remarkable traveller tales. We will also consider the importance of audience and purpose when writing and reading.

All the sessions are designed to develop students' core understanding and skills and provide them with a solid foundation in English.
